According to CoinMeta, as reported by A in early 2021, MARA incurred a net loss of $611 million in the second quarter, with a loss of $1.60 per share, and its revenue decreased by 27% year-on-year to $175 million. The loss was mainly due to an unrealized impairment of digital assets amounting to approximately $343 million caused by the decline in Bitcoin prices. MARA's computing power increased by 22% year-on-year to 70.3 EH /s, while Bitcoin production grew by 3% to 2,422 BTC, and its holdings decreased from 49,951 to 35,577 coins.
