According to CoinMeta, Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure company firmus announced the completion of a $2 billion strategic equity financing round. Investors include NVIDIA, coatue, as well as funds managed by Blackstone Group and other Blackstone investment vehicles. Global trading and technology companies jane and street also participated in the investment. firmus stated that this round of financing will be used to accelerate the deployment of its “southgate ai factory” project in Australia and to prepare for future expansion into other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
