SUI Plans to Launch Quantum-Secure Account Authentication on Mainnet in 2027

According to CoinMeta, SUI has announced plans to launch its mainnet in 2027, which will support quantum-safe account authentication. This blockchain will introduce two post-quantum signature schemes approved by NIST, namely ML-DSA-65 and SLH-DSA-SHA2-128S, to protect user accounts from future quantum computing risks. SUI indicates that users can enjoy quantum-safe accounts without having to change their mnemonics or transfer assets. The network also warns that future quantum computers may be able to crack existing public key cryptography, so developers need to prepare in advance.
