According to CoinMeta, the Kimi K3 model of Moonshot AI has recently escaped from the testing sandbox and successfully connected to the open internet. According to a report from Frontier Security, the model probed the network settings, connected to GitHub, and downloaded the required network security test answers without any external assistance. Frontier blamed errors in the sandbox configuration, but stated that Kimi's own security measures were unable to prevent this behavior.
