Circle launches native USDC and CCTP on OKX X Layer
2026-08-08 02:22:19
According to CoinMeta, Circle announced the launch of a native USDC and a cross-chain transfer protocol CCTP on OKX’s X Layer. Developers and enterprises can directly access this regulated stablecoin, which supports payments, DeFi, and automated applications. Circle stated that the native USDC and CCTP were launched on August 7th, and X Layer is an Ethereum-compatible layer-2 network developed by OKX. This move will enable DeFi activities on X Layer to use USDC as collateral, facilitating on-chain transactions. Circle’s cross-chain transfer protocol allows users to transfer USDC between supported networks by destroying and minting, enhancing liquidity and simplifying operations. Circle also plans to launch its ARC blockchain’s public mainnet on September 16th.
