According to CoinMeta, JPMorgan Chase expects the issuance of bonds by technology-related companies this year to exceed $500 billion, and has raised its forecast for the debt issuance in the technology, media, and telecommunications industries in 2026 from $450 billion to $540 billion. A team led by JPMorgan Chase strategist Erica Spier believes in the report that financing supported by chips will become the next major frontier area for supporting AI infrastructure construction. JPMorgan Chase has identified seven investment-grade data center financing opportunities, four of which are expected to come from Oracle and OpenAI. JPMorgan Chase expects Meta Platforms to return to the bond market after releasing its third-quarter financial results, and Microsoft may raise funds from bond investors for the first time since 2017.
