According to CoinMeta, as reported by bitcoin.com and news, the EU has decided to revise the MiCA framework in order to address the access issues for non-EU stablecoin issuers such as Tether. The introduction of the US Genius legislation and President Trump's promotion of stablecoins have accelerated this decision. A Circle EU policy official, Patrick Hansen, pointed out that there are regulatory gaps in the current MiCA system. The EU is considering including tokenized payments and deposits within the scope of the revision, and a European diplomat stated that it is inevitable to revisit this document.
