T. Rowe Price: The new encryption ETF contains Memecoin, which is referred to as a blockchain “stress test”

According to CoinMeta, T. Rowe Price defended its investment in Memecoin within its newly launched crypto ETF, calling it a “stress test” for the blockchain. The asset management firm launched the industry’s first actively managed multi-token spot crypto exchange-traded fund (ETF) in July (ETF), and investors were initially expecting to see familiar assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. However, the inclusion of Memecoin came as a surprise to many. Blue Macellari, the head of digital assets at T. Rowe Price, stated that active management means evaluating each token based on its investment value, rather than excluding them due to their reputation. The fund currently has a management fee of 0.75% and is expected to continue to enjoy temporary fee reductions until May 2027.
