According to CoinMeta, as reported by Bitcoin.com, Bitcoin experienced a minor fork chain maintained by supporters of bip-110 after block height 961,632. At the time of reporting, the mining pool Roughnecks that supported bip-110 had only mined blocks 961,632 and 961,633, while the dominant Bitcoin chain had advanced to block 961,651, leading by 18 blocks. This fork coincided with the adjustment of Bitcoin's mining difficulty to 127.48 t. Since the bip-110 chain received significantly less computing power than the main chain but still had to produce blocks at the same difficulty, its block generation speed noticeably slowed down. Supporters of bip-110 also acknowledged that for the minority chain to overtake the main chain again, there would need to be "significant changes." Some supporters have begun discussing replacing the algorithm of this fork chain with pow.
