According to CoinMeta, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his rejection of U.S. President Donald Trump's latest Gaza plan in a televised speech on Sunday, despite the Israeli military having effectively ceased attacks on the Gaza region under pressure from the United States. Netanyahu is in campaign mode, seeking re-election in the elections on October 27th, but he finds himself caught between angry far-right ministers and his main military supporter, Trump. Israel has reduced its attacks on Gaza since Monday. After a meeting between Trump's peace committee envoy Nikola Mladenov and Netanyahu, an agreement was reached that the military would only take action against what they consider direct threats and would no longer carry out targeted assassinations. Netanyahu stated that Israel would not withdraw its troops until Hamas disarms.
