According to CoinMeta, Cyprus Energy Minister Michael Damianos recently stated in an interview with American media that Cyprus is expected to start supplying natural gas produced in the Eastern Mediterranean region to Europe as early as March 2028. He pointed out that the Ukraine crisis and conflicts in the Middle East have caused turmoil in the global energy market, prompting European countries to diversify their sources of energy, and that the offshore gas fields in the Eastern Mediterranean region are gradually becoming an alternative supply channel.
