According to CoinMeta, John, the leader of the majority party in the U.S. Senate, announced last Thursday that the Senate would not conduct a procedural vote on the Digital Assets Market Clarification Act before its recess in August, making it increasingly unlikely for the bill to become law this year. Although the chances of a successful vote on the bill were already slim, this delay at least provides lawmakers with more time to resolve outstanding issues. Senator Angela Alsonbrooke stated that the goal remains to push the bill through. She emphasized that over the past year, both sides have cooperated on issues such as protecting consumers, limiting capital outflows, combating illegal financing, and ethical considerations. Senator Cynthia Lummis also said, "We've come too far to give up." However, industry participants have varying views on the chances of the bill passing, believing that it will be difficult to persuade enough Democrats to vote in favor of it.
