Bitwise CIO: If just 1% of global institutions invested in Bitcoin, it could attract $2 trillion in funds
2026-08-10 19:27:26
According to CoinMeta, Matt Hougan, the chief investment officer of Bitwise, stated that institutions such as global pension funds, donor funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds manage a total of approximately 100 trillion to 200 trillion US dollars in assets. Even if only about 1% of this is allocated to Bitcoin in the future, it could still bring in an additional 1 trillion to 2 trillion US dollars in funds. Hougan believes that as Bitcoin's share in the global value storage market continues to increase, its value is expected to reach approximately 130 trillion US dollars by 2035.
