According to CoinMeta, Vitalik Buterin has updated Ethereum's roadmap, stating that compared to the 2023 version, the current plans have seen a clear adjustment in priorities. This includes elevating quantum-resistant security to a higher level, reducing the emphasis on VDF and some improvements to EVM, and replacing certain old designs with new state types, PBT, and other solutions. New focuses include strong privacy, scalability in a post-quantum environment, AI for assisted formal verification, blob and gas for futures, native rollup, as well as exploring more concise and efficient execution architectures such as Leanisa and RISC-V. Vitalik indicates that in the future, Ethereum will prioritize STARK, privacy, quantum resistance, security, anti-censorship, and high-performance scalability as its core directions.
