According to CoinMeta, Synopsys (Nasdaq: SNPS) launched an autonomous AI chip design tool supported by Microsoft on July 27, aimed at reducing the time it takes to convert chip specifications into working silicon wafers. These tools are currently being evaluated in AMD (Nasdaq: AMD), and early evaluations show that the debugging cycle time has been reduced by 25% to 40%. In addition, Synopsys's design software and intellectual property make it difficult for competitors to replace, resulting in a 42% year-over-year increase in revenue in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026. Nevertheless, Synopsys's stock price has fallen by 12% in 2023.
