According to CoinMeta, as cited by the Japanese news agency Jiji Press from informed sources, the Bank of Japan (BOJ) may consider raising interest rates again at its next policy meeting on September 17-18 following the rate hike in June, in order to address the rising inflation risks. Influenced by the rapid growth in demand related to artificial intelligence, the significant depreciation of the yen, and the increase in crude oil prices, Japanese prices are likely to rise further. Previously, many financial market participants expected the BOJ to raise interest rates approximately every six months. However, according to the summary of meeting opinions released on Monday, some members of the policy committee stated at the BOJ's most recent policy-making meeting held on July 30-31 that the pace of interest rate hikes should be accelerated.
