According to CoinMeta, analyst Hickeley from Pioneer Group expects that the US CPI will rise by 0.1% month-on-month and 3.3% year-on-year in July. The overall inflation figure for July was relatively mild, reflecting a gradual decline in oil prices and stabilization in the costs of core commodities and housing. It is anticipated that core commodity inflation will remain flat, as this sector is in a trend of declining inflation after experiencing significant fluctuations due to price increases, and this trend is expected to continue for several years. Hickeley noted that rising wages have made inflation in core services (i.e., "super core" inflation) other than housing more stubborn. This category tracks services such as healthcare and transportation (excluding food and energy), which remained flat month-on-month in June but still rose by 3.2% year-on-year. Potential price pressures persist, especially with wages growing at a rate of 3.5%, despite high productivity gains. There are no signs yet of an improvement in core service sector inflation on a substantive basis.
