According to CoinMeta, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Crypto and Digital Assets ( APPG ) in the UK has sent letters to the heads of several of the country's largest banks, questioning their attitude towards the lack of banking services for crypto companies. The letters mention that many crypto businesses are facing difficulties in opening accounts with British banks, and several banks have already imposed restrictions on crypto-related payments and transactions, including HSBC, Nationwide, NatWest, Santander UK, and Starlink Bank. APPG states that the lack of banking services could become the biggest obstacle to the growth of UK crypto and digital asset companies and may even affect the success of upcoming crypto regulations.
