According to CoinMeta, co-founder Igor Babuschkin of xAI announced the establishment of an artificial intelligence startup called River AI, which is dedicated to developing personalized intelligents that are controlled by users, with the aim of enhancing human capabilities rather than replacing human jobs. River AI announced today the completion of a $1.1 billion financing round. This round of funding was led by General Catalyst and AMP PBC, with strategic investments from NVIDIA and AMD Ventures. Other investors include Y Combinator and Temasek (Temasek). This financing will accelerate River AI's efforts to create powerful personal AI, and will provide developers and enterprises with tools for training, optimizing, and deploying their own AI models, ensuring that ownership of these AI truly remains in the hands of the individuals and organizations that use them.
