According to CoinMeta, manus has announced that it will soon resume operations as an independent company. Affected users need to back up the data generated on or after December 29th by 7:59 on August 23, 2026 (UTC +8), and data restoration will begin at 8:00 on August 25th (UTC +8). manus will notify affected users via email and in-app notifications; unaffected accounts do not need to take any action. Affected users will be exempt from fees during the transition period and will receive compensation. In addition, the acquisition transaction between manus and Meta Platforms is nearing completion, and this transaction was previously required to be terminated by Chinese regulatory authorities in April of this year.
