EIA Reduces Global Crude Oil Production Forecast for 2026, Raises Demand Forecast for 2027

According to CoinMeta, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has lowered its forecast for global oil production in 2026 in its short-term energy outlook report, estimating it at 100.8 million barrels per day, which is a decrease from the previous estimate of 101.9 million barrels per day. At the same time, it has raised its forecast for global oil demand in 2027, predicting that demand will be 105 million barrels per day in 2027, an increase from the previous estimate of 104.8 million barrels per day.
