According to CoinMeta, the U.S. “Aurora” defense system has made early progress. Companies involved in Trump’s $185 billion “Golden Dome” missile defense system, such as SpaceX and Northrop Grumman, have completed the first round of key tests, marking early progress in this experimental space missile defense technology. General Gategain, who is in charge of the project for the U.S. Space Force, stated that these companies will move on to the next phase to verify whether their technology can function in a space environment. Previous test activities by some companies included transmitting sensor data to interceptors and demonstrating the capabilities of spacecraft propulsion systems. In April of this year, the U.S. Space Force awarded development contracts for armed satellites to 12 companies, including RTX, Anduril, and Lockheed Martin. The U.S. government has already invested $3.2 billion in this project, and the future contract value could reach tens of billions of dollars.
