According to CoinMeta, Anthropic announced on August 11th local time that it had signed Article 50 of the EU's Artificial Intelligence Act regarding the transparency of AI generated content. Starting from August 2nd, Claude models will embed invisible watermarks in the text they generate, and files such as images will be accompanied by digitally signed traceable metadata. This marking mechanism will apply to all major products and access channels under Claude, including Claude Platform ( API ), Claude , Claude Code , Claude Cowork , and Claude Tag , and will also be applicable to cloud partners that connect through AWS , Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry . In addition, the marking mechanism will be globally applicable, covering all product lines of Claude and cooperative cloud platforms, not limited to the European Union region alone.
