According to CoinMeta, the Harmony protocol was subjected to a hacker attack, resulting in the illegal minting of approximately 400 million ONE tokens, which accounts for about 26% of the total supply of these tokens. This attack caused the price of ONE tokens to plummet by over 30%. Data from on-chain analyst Juiceberg shows that the attackers illegally minted ONE tokens through empty blocks and quickly transferred 280 million of them to cryptocurrency exchanges. The Harmony team stated that they are working with the exchanges to freeze the funds related to this attack and are developing a patch to resolve the issue.
