According to CoinMeta, Fifth Third Commercial Bank's Chief US Economist, Bill Adams, stated that the July CPI report barely met the threshold necessary to persuade the Federal Reserve to maintain interest rates unchanged at its next meeting in September. He pointed out that Fed policymakers had already signaled in July that, in order to avoid raising interest rates, core inflation must improve between now and the September meeting.
