According to CoinMeta, oil prices fell slightly after five consecutive trading days of gains. WTI crude oil prices dropped below $82 per barrel, following a 11% increase over the previous five trading days, with Brent crude oil once falling below $87. Traders are awaiting signs of progress in the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but so far there has been almost no progress. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has "full control" over this waterway. The International Energy Agency (IEA) IEA said that as the U.S.-Iranian war continues, the global oil market faces a supply gap of 1.8 million barrels per day this quarter, more than twice the previous forecasts. According to the American Automobile Association, in the United States, the prices of gasoline and diesel have never been as high as they are during this time of year.
