According to CoinMeta and data from the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan, from the beginning of 2023 to May 2026, the country's certified miners and mining pools mined a total of 7,200 Bitcoins. In 2024, the peak was reached with approximately 3,400 Bitcoins mined. Currently, there are 78 miners operating in the country, with over 465,000 mining devices registered. Previously, Kazakhstani President Tokayev signed a law that abolished the mandatory requirement for miners to sell most of their mined earnings through the exchanges in the Astana Financial Center.
