According to CoinMeta, Trump Media and Technology Group plans to reshape its crypto asset strategy after reporting a second-quarter loss of $238.1 million. The company disclosed this strategy on August 10, stating that the volatility of digital assets and asset-liability management were its main considerations. Despite facing substantial paper losses, the company still places Bitcoin at the core of its capital strategy and is shifting to active asset management through options, lending, and other revenue-generating arrangements. The group reported that unrealized losses on digital assets, pledged assets, and equity securities amounted to $190.4 million, which accounted for the majority of its quarterly deficit. Management stated that the revised framework will maintain a long-term exposure to digital assets while managing volatility. The company also plans to invest more resources in Truth Social, Truth +, and other media businesses.
