Harmony ONE Hacker Attack: Considering Blockchain Rollback
2026-08-13 20:20:02
According to CoinMeta, the Harmony team is considering rolling back the blockchain after a hacker attack that resulted in the minting of nearly 4 billion ONE tokens, which is approximately 26% of the total supply of this cryptocurrency. The project team stated that they are working with cryptocurrency exchanges to identify, freeze, and prevent funds related to this incident. Developers are also preparing patches to fix the network vulnerabilities and assessing whether the network can be restored to its state before the attack. The incident caused significant pressure on the ONE token, with its price falling by more than 50% at one point. Currently, the ONE token has dropped by about 33.6% in the past 24 hours.
