Crypto for Advisors: The Differences in Recommendations from Crypto Advisors
2026-08-13 23:03:28
According to CoinMeta, as reported by CoinDesk, Joyce Lai discussed in the latest issue of the “Crypto for Advisors” weekly newsletter that as more and more clients incorporate crypto assets into their estate plans, traditional advisors may face the risk of becoming irrelevant if they ignore this growing category of long-term assets. The survey shows that nearly all respondents consider Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana to be core long-term holding assets. Nevertheless, there is still a gap between the crypto assets owned by clients and the assets that traditional advisors are willing to manage. The survey also found that nearly half of the respondents indicated that crypto assets have been included in their estate or inheritance plans, and many are considering giving them to their children. Respondents generally believe that advisors need to possess industry expertise, understand privacy issues, and have tax and custody capabilities in order to win their trust.
