The officer, who did not wish to be named, stated that several Houthi drones attacked a base belonging to the Third Division of the “Shield of the Motherland” forces located in the Abul region of Hadramawt province. This area is situated in a desert region near the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The official said, “The drones directly hit the military base, causing casualties among the troops.” Preliminary statistics show that 3 soldiers were killed and 15 were injured, with some of the wounded suffering serious injuries, and the number of casualties may increase further.
