According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, Threadneedle Ventures founder Ann Berry warns investors that although private market investments have become more accessible, accessibility should not be confused with transparency. In an interview on Bloomberg, she explained why assessing the value of private companies requires expertise, and how it may be difficult for ordinary investors to evaluate the underlying business, as well as why these newly listed funds require a high level of trust in their managers.
