SEC Further Postpones 24/7 Tokenization Stock Exemption
2026-08-14 02:46:14
According to CoinMeta, SEC has once again postponed its 24/7 tokenization of stocks exemption, with this delay aimed at protecting the Clear Act. The exemption is temporarily put on hold, partly due to the potential to undermine the difficult compromises regarding the tokenization section of that act. The SEC meeting scheduled for Friday will still take place at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, and it is expected that the institution will propose "cryptocurrency regulation" to support crypto fundraising.
