Vultisig: No seed wallet design to avoid recent wallet vulnerabilities
2026-08-14 05:57:39
According to CoinMeta, the seedless wallets of Vultisig and the multi-party computation (MPC) technology are particularly important in recent wallet vulnerability incidents. Recent firmware vulnerabilities in cold wallets (Coldcard) have allowed attackers to reconstruct seeds and steal approximately 18.16 million BTC (over $116 million), while data leakage incidents of Ledger and Trezor also exposed user information, leading to phishing and ransom demands. The design of Vultisig avoids these risks by distributing keys across user devices, eliminating the need for a single mnemonic phrase and not collecting user data, thereby reducing the risk of leakage.
