Trump Allows the US Navy to Build Ships Overseas

According to CoinMeta, on August 14th local time, the White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump has authorized the U.S. Navy to build ships overseas and ordered the Navy to abandon electromagnetic catapult systems when constructing new ships, reverting to steam catapult technology instead. The national security memorandum signed by Trump requires design changes to be made to the fourth aircraft carrier of the “Ford” class, abandoning the electromagnetic catapult systems used in the first three carriers. It is estimated that this design change will cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
