According to CoinMeta, SMIC, in conjunction with CEO Zhao Haijun, introduced at the second-quarter earnings meeting that, when categorized by region, sales revenue from the Chinese region, the US region, and the Eurasian region accounted for 90%, 8%, and 2% respectively. All regions saw an increase in revenue, with the Chinese region experiencing the largest growth, at 22%. The main reasons for this are the strong demand for artificial intelligence-related chips, the return of overseas orders, and the continued strengthening of localized manufacturing. In terms of wafer revenue by size, 12-inch and 8-inch wafers accounted for 78% and 22% respectively. In terms of amount, 12-inch wafer revenue increased by 24% quarter-on-quarter, while 8-inch wafer revenue increased by 11% quarter-on-quarter.
