Metaplanet Announces BitBonds Plan, Aiming for 200 Million Yen

According to CoinMeta, Metaplanet announced the launch of the BitBonds plan, aiming to raise 200 million yen in the Japanese bond market. The company currently holds 43,000 bitcoins, valued at over 2.7 billion US dollars. BitBonds will be privately sold and distributed by its subsidiary Metaplanet Securities, which is expected to significantly increase the company's sources of revenue and be used to increase its bitcoin holdings. This plan is the first of its kind for a bond issuance in Japan, with plans to issue four series of bonds at an interest rate of 4% to 4.3%.
