The Trump family's world of free finance delays the sale of Maldives resort token plan

According to CoinMeta, the crypto project World Freedom Finance ( WLFI ), supported by the Trump family, has postponed its plan to sell tokens related to a resort in the Maldives. The tokens, which were originally scheduled to be sold next year, were intended to provide investors with a share of the revenue from the Trump-branded resorts. However, this plan has been delayed due to the impact of the Iran war on travel in that region. In February, WLFI collaborated with the real assets ( RWAs ) platform Securitize to trade loan interests related to resort development in the form of digital tokens on the blockchain. It is not yet clear when these tokens will be listed. WLFI is exploring tokenization concepts that are not limited to real estate, but also include commodities such as oil and natural gas. The native token of WLFI rose by 2.7% after the news was released, but then fell back to par and is currently down 88.5% from its historical high in September 2025.
