According to CoinMeta, they have completed real-money subscription and redemption tests for the Hong Kong-licensed Hong Kong dollar stablecoin hkdap in collaboration with Wantong Insurance, exploring its application in insurance payment scenarios. hkdap is issued by Dockpoint Fintech, a licensed stablecoin issuer in Hong Kong, with Hashkey Exchange serving as its main distributor. Wantong Insurance stated that, subject to compliance with regulatory requirements, they plan to support customers in using hkdap for premium payments in the future. Both parties mentioned that on-chain payments can reduce the premium settlement time, which traditionally takes 2 to 3 working days, to nearly real-time.
