According to CoinMeta, Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, USA, announced that Galaxy, Compass data centers, as well as Montera Infrastructure have committed to complying with the new standards and regulatory requirements established by the state for data centers. Abbott stated that these policies are aimed at ensuring that the expansion of data centers does not increase the burden on Texas residents and at protecting the power supply, water resources, and the community environment. Currently, one data center project that could not meet the requirements has ceased operations before it even began construction.
