According to CoinMeta, as reported by Reuters, Robinhood Ventures Fund II has raised $225.5 million and opened at $22.50 on the New York Stock Exchange, which is 10% lower than its initial public offering (IPO) price of $25 ($BJWKEEP_00004__). This fund provides individual investors with the opportunity to invest in early-stage companies that are typically accessible only to venture capital firms and wealthy investors. The fund's listing completed a previous reported issuance of 8 million shares priced at $25, raising $200 million. Robinhood designed this fund to invest in private companies at the early and growth stages, distinguishing it from its first fund. The investment strategy of this fund focuses on companies founded by current or former participants of Y Combinator, as well as other companies related to that startup accelerator network.
