According to CoinMeta, Solana reported in its financial report on August 14 that despite generating $2.5 million in revenue from staking, it still recorded a loss of $30.3 million in the second quarter. The company stated that staking contributed $2.525 million in revenue, while other operations only generated $14,000. Compared to $43,000 in revenue during the same period in 2025, revenue decreased by about 30% despite establishing a large Solana treasury. In the second quarter, the company received 31,200 Solana ( SOL ) staking rewards and automatically re-staked these tokens. Although the high profit margin from staking did not cover operating expenses and losses related to digital assets, operating expenses reached $35.1 million this quarter, a significant increase from $3.3 million in the same period last year. As a result, Solana recorded an operating loss of $32.7 million, which is a significant increase from the $3.3 million loss in the second quarter of 2025.
