According to CoinMeta, the transportation provider of Trezor, ShipMonk, experienced a data breach in August 2026 that affected nearly 14,000 customers. Personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and delivery addresses were compromised. This breach linked the purchase records of Trezor hardware wallets to the real identities and delivery addresses of the customers, creating physical security risks that go beyond phishing, including the potential for burglaries, coercion, or so-called “nutcracker attacks.” Trezor stated that its own systems, devices, and wallet backups were not affected, but the exposed customer data still requires urgent attention, as physical attacks related to cryptocurrency are on the rise.
