According to CoinMeta, on the 15th, the Iranian military stated that three Iranian pilots who were “captured alive” by the Qatari military during an attack on a U.S. base in Qatar in March this year have been detained ever since. Iran has demanded that Qatar “release them.” Later that same day, the Qatari Foreign Ministry responded, expressing surprise at these “misleading statements,” denying the detention of Iranian pilots, and stating that Qatar had made every effort to search and rescue them. They found the remains of one Iranian pilot and have been in communication with Iran regarding the transfer of those remains.
