Goldman Sachs: The likelihood of the Fed raising interest rates in September is extremely low, which is good news for Bitcoin

According to CoinMeta, Goldman Sachs stated that the likelihood of a Fed interest rate hike in September is “very low,” which presents a potential significant positive for Bitcoin. The current price of Bitcoin is around $63,500, up 1% since midnight. This price has been stable within the range of $62,000 to $66,000 for over a month. Goldman Sachs reduced its probability of a rate hike in response to a series of weak economic data, particularly retail sales and employment figures, as well as a slowdown in inflation. Goldman Sachs’ chief economist Jan Hatzius stated that the market’s pricing of a rate hike is still too hawkish. Changes in interest rates directly affect credit and fiat liquidity, thereby impacting the demand for risk assets such as Bitcoin.
