Ethereum's next major upgrade includes 66 proposals, including privacy improvements

According to CoinMeta, there are currently 66 proposals under discussion for Ethereum's next major upgrade, Hegot, which includes an important privacy fix. Ethereum developers are deciding whether this upgrade should simplify the process of conducting private transactions without relying on intermediaries. Currently, all Ethereum addresses are permanent, and anyone can view the complete history and balance of an address, which poses issues for privacy needs such as salary and financial operations. The framework transactions included in the proposal (EIP-8141) will allow accounts to define the approval, execution, and payment methods of transactions, rather than forcing each user to use the same settings. The core of this proposal is to enable ordinary users to conduct private transactions without adding additional infrastructure. This upgrade is expected to be launched in 2027, and developers will consider which proposals can be implemented within that timeframe.
