According to CoinMeta, billionaire David Tepper reduced his holdings in Micron Technology (Micron) and completely exited SanDisk (SanDisk), shifting his profits to utility companies Vistra and NRG, both of which trade with forward P/E ratios below 16 times. Tepper increased his stake in Amazon to 5 million shares and opened new positions in CoreWeave, targeting the AI infrastructure layer, which allows him to generate revenue regardless of which chip manufacturer emerges victorious. On August 14, 2026, Tepper's Appaloosa Management submitted its 13F report, showing a 32% return on its portfolio in the first half of 2026. He reduced his holdings in Micron by 690,000 shares to 975,000 shares, which are still worth approximately $1.125 billion, and completely exited SanDisk, selling all 281,250 shares. Tepper also reduced his holdings in fabless chip design companies: UltraMicro (AMD) by 23,900 shares to 197,500 shares, and Qualcomm (Qualcomm) by 248,613 shares to 250,000 shares.
