According to CoinMeta, Verizon Communications Inc ( NYSE : VZ ) achieved an important milestone for income investors in 2026, having increased dividends for 20 consecutive years, with a current yield of about 6%. The company raised its quarterly dividend to $0.7075 per share in January, resulting in an annualized dividend of $2.83. Although the latest dividend increase was only 2.5%, Verizon's free cash flow reached $20.1 billion in 2025, and free cash flow grew by 16% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. Management expects free cash flow to grow by 9%-10% in 2026. Verizon's economic moat comes from its vast network infrastructure, which gives it a competitive advantage.
