Cypherpunk Technologies Launches ZEC Mining Business, with Computing Power Accounting for 18% of the Entire Network

According to CoinMeta, Zcash, a treasury company listed on NASDAQ, Cypherpunk Technologies ( CYPH ), announced the launch of its ZEC mining business. Its subsidiary, Cypherpunk Mining, has deployed approximately 4.2 GSol /s of Equihash computing power in the United States, accounting for about 18% of the total global computing power. The company stated that this mining team is currently the largest active mining team on the Zcash network. The mining machines are funded by a $33.33 million equity transaction between Cypherpunk and Winklevoss Capital. The company also appointed Kevin Zhang, a professional in the mining industry, to oversee mining operations. Cypherpunk currently holds 323,394 ZEC, which is about 1.92% of the circulating supply, and plans to continue to increase its holdings to reach a target of 5% of the total ZEC supply through mining and subsequent acquisitions.
