According to CoinMeta, in response to recent reports that three Iranian pilots were detained by Qatar, Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Ansaari denied these claims on the 18th and provided more details about how Qatar handled the incident and the search and rescue operations. Ansaari stated that the Iranian aircraft had "violated" Qatarian airspace at the time, and after confirming the aircraft's flight and attack trajectory, Qatar attempted to contact the pilots but received no response. Consequently, Qatar "took measures in accordance with the rules of engagement." Ansaari emphasized that Qatarian search and rescue personnel found the remains of one pilot on March 19, and the search and rescue operations concluded on April 6. Qatar then informed Iran of the situation, and after receiving the remains, Iran transported them back to Iran, where a funeral was held for the pilot.
